This was meant to be a meme of “When Arashi sings their song title,” but it became much more than that.
Making this made me miss them a lot. It also reminded me how much they’ve accomplished and how much they’ve grown both as idols and as individuals.
In some strange, parallel, parasocial way, it also made me realize how much I’ve witnessed them grow and how much I’ve grown in the process.
It’s really rare to come across a group of people who live extraordinary lives as super idols, but they manage to stay grounded because their love for one another resonates more than their love for the job or the fame or the achievement.
In fact, I believe it’s their love for one another that fueled them all these years to keep going as Arasih. And until now, I believe that’s what fuels them to keep going despite the hiatus.
